The Sightings collection presents a photojournalistic & voyeuristic view of city life.  Although most images from this collection have been taken in New York City or its surrounding urban areas, images from Boston, D.C. & Berlin have found their way into this series.  Sightings is an eye-witness account of life that would otherwise go unnoticed if it had not been captured by way of the photographic process.

Please join us on Sunday December 12 for discussion and refreshments from 2pm – 4pm.

Prints will be available for purchase, both standard prints as well registered limited edition fine art prints.  Information packets will be available too at the opening.  Images will be viewable online after the opening as well in order to launch one of our new websites! Stay tuned for details on this.

This past weekend Kaz Arts client and CCM photography major Melanie Ruskin from Chatham, New Jersey came to our home studio. The task at hand for the day?  We printed, mounted and framed the photographs for her upcoming exhibit at Cafe Beethoven – Main St, Chatham, NJ.

Melanie’s work is both unique and powerful for a woman of her age.  She takes common everyday objects and places them into unusual situations and shows us a different way of looking at things.  The mood and color of her work is vibrant and high in contrast which grabs the attention of the viewer.  Only a year ago, photography was nothing but a fun hobby for her, but now she has chosen it as a career path and progressing quite well with her studies.  To see more of Melanie’s work you can visit her Flickr page.

Join us for the opening of her exhibit  – Saturday March 6 @ 7pm
Cafe Beethoven  262  Main St  Chatham, NJ

I want to thank all those who were able to attend the opening reception last night (Nov 12) for my exhibit Bavaria: Rural & Urban.  We had a great turn out and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.  There were so many people that I, unfortunately, was not able to get to everybody and I am so sorry if you had to leave without getting a chance to chat.

For those who were not able to make it, the exhibit will run through the end of the year:

Tivoli Creative Design Studio
4 Cook Plaza (in the Main St. passage way)
Madison, NJ 07940

Gallery hours are Monday – Saturday  10am – 5pm,  Sundays by appointment.

Here are some photos of last night’s event.

This week’s photo marks the unveiling of my newest photographic project – atmosphere and light.

I have been making images of clouds, water & reflections for close to 8 months now and they are beginning to form a theme amongst themselves.  All images are now in the post-processing phase.  Updates will be posted about the progress of the project, its completion, and news on another photographic exhibit.  Until next week – enjoy!
